Electrostatic powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a dry powder. The powder is applied by electrostatic spray by negatively charging the powder particles, they seek a ground holding the powder to the part. The powder is then cured in an oven with convection and Infrared heat to allow it to flow, crosslink and form a hard finish that is durable and very resistant to scratches, cracking, peeling, UV rays and rust.
Progressive Coating can powder coat nearly any type of metal, and can produce low to high volume part quantities, small parts up to relatively large sizes.
Applications include just about any metal products:
- Electrical boxes
- Consumer goods
- Telecommunications/ Networking hardware
- Display goods
- Wire goods
- Lawn & Garden
- Material Handling
- Storage Systems
- Food Service
